A Flash Flood Watch is in effect until midnight for all of western Kentucky.
The National Weather Service in Paducah says one and a half to two and a half inches of rain is likely across the region and three to five inches is possible where storms train over the same area.
Standing water will be likely in all of the usual places and motorists who encounter flooding on roads are reminded—turn around, don’t drown.
