The ACC announced late Wednesday it will play an 11-game football schedule, which includes independent Notre Dame, but only if public health regulations hold up. ACC schools, which include Louisville, would play 10 conference games and one nonconference. There will be no divisions this season and the first games would be pushed back to the weekend of September 12th. In this format, the Cardinals would likely play Kentucky in their only non-league game. The adjusted schedule drops Clemson and NC State from the Louisville schedule. They will be replaced by Pitt and Georgia Tech.
The ACC’s plan will likely eliminate the Louisville-Western Kentucky game scheduled for September 26th and Murray State’s game at Louisville on September 12th.
