Willson Contreras hit a home run and an RBI double as the Chicago Cubs routed the Milwaukee Brewers 9-1. Ian Happ and Anthony Rizzo both went yard in the eighth for the Cubs, who have taken their first two of three games. Tyler Chatwood gave up just three hits over six innings to get the win.

Tommy Edman drove in the St. Louis Cardinals’ lone run as they fell to the Pittsburgh Pirates 5-1. Dakota Hudson gave up four runs over four-and-a-third to take the loss. The Cards will face the Minnesota Twins for two games at Target Field starting tomorrow.

Dansby Swanson drove in five runs as the Atlanta Braves mashed the New York Mets 14-1. Atlanta hammered out 17 hits, 11 extra base hits, and homers from Marcell Ozuna, Austin Riley, and Swanson in the big win. Ozzie Albies and William Contreras each added three hits apiece in the win. The Braves open an interleague series tonight at the Tampa Bay Rays.
