Michael Thompson moved into a tie with Richy Werenski for the lead in Friday’s second round at the 3M Open in Minnesota. Thompson followed up an opening-round 64 with a five-under 66 to move to 12-under after 36 holes, while Werenski shot 67 after topping all players with an 8-under 63 on Thursday. Tony Finau and Talor Gooch are tied for third place heading into the weekend just one stroke of the lead. Brooks Koepka and Bubba Watson are among those that missed the cut.
