CBS Sports.com reports the Atlantic Coast Conference is considering partnering with Notre Dame as a quasi-league member for the 2020 season. Sources say the Fighting Irish would factor into an 11 game schedule that would feature 10 conference games and one non-conference tilt. What hasn’t been factored in however, is whether Notre Dame would be eligible to play in the ACC championship game or receive the conference’s automatic berth into the Orange Bowl as a league champion. Notre Dame has a bowl partnership with the ACC.

Mutiple reports say in a letter to the University of Wisconsin fan base Thursday, athletic director Barry Alvarez said the school is facing a financial challenge. According to Alvarez, the athletic department is projecting revenue losses between $60 million and $70 million if the Badgers play a conference-only, 10-game season and losses of more than $100 million if the upcoming football season is canceled because of the pandemic.
