TSSAA unveils hybrid plan for football in 2020

Tennessee high school football could be a bit different this year due to COVID-19. The TSSAA announced Wednesday they are hoping to start contact practices Monday as originally planned. If teams start by August 3rd, they still could start the season on time. For every week after August 3rd that teams can’t practice, a hybrid plan allows for the TSSAA to alter the regular season and playoff schedule. The approved hybrid plan would be used only if the season can’t start as scheduled. Governor Bill Lee has an order in place that bars contact at practices through August 29th.
