Princeton man arrested after shots fired report

A man was arrested following a shots fired incident Monday night in Princeton.

Officers were called to Varmint Trace regarding shots fired about 7:30 p.m. and were given a description of a man with an assault style rifle, according to a news release. Princeton police made contact with 43-year old Andrew Tinsley of Princeton and obtained a search warrant for his home.

Police say they found the rifle, a handgun and nearly 20 grams of methamphetamine.

Tinsley was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm and handgun by a convicted felon and firearm-enhanced trafficking in methamphetamine.
