Elkton residents will be serviced by a different garbage collection company beginning next month.
The city of Elkton will be using GFL Environmental for weekly garbage pick-up service starting August 1. Elkton is asking residents to put their Waste Management container at the curb even if you do not have trash in it on Thursday night, July 30. A Waste Management crew will be picking up the containers after pick-up on Friday, July 31.
GFL Environmental will be delivering new containers on July 30 and 31.
Elkton officials say use the new GFL container for pick-up scheduled for Friday, August 7.
