Man arrested for strangulation, unlawful imprisonment

A Hopkinsville man was arrested for strangulation and unlawful imprisonment following an investigation early Thursday morning at a hotel on Griffin Bell Drive.

An arrest citation for 24-year old Gabriel Jackson of Hopkinsville says he was in an argument with a 29-year old woman that turned physical when the victim tried to leave.

Jackson allegedly threw the victim on a bed and told her she wasn’t going anywhere. He’s then accused of strangling the woman, putting a pillow over her face and punching her in the mouth.

Jackson is charged with second-degree strangulation, unlawful imprisonment and fourth-degree assault.
