Friday is the deadline to nominate a local youth for recognition as Hopkinsville seeks the designation of All America City.
Hopkinsville is one of 22 cities in the country to be named finalist in March. The award celebrates communities that engage residents in innovative and inclusive efforts to tackle critical challenges.
Nikki Durham with the City of Hopkinsville says part of the city’s presentation is showing off a young person between the ages of 14 and 25 who is making a difference.
She says they are seeking nominations for youth who bring people together and unify the community.
Durham says being among the final cities in the running for the designation is an honor for Hopkinsville.
