Report: Man allegedly pointed handgun at other motorists while driving reckless

Hopkinsville police arrested a man Tuesday night who allegedly pointed a gun at two people in another vehicle in the area of Eagle Way Bypass and the Parkway.

A woman called ECC and said a man nearly ran her and her husband off the road while driving recklessly and that he pointed a silver handgun at them.

HPD used the license plate number to find the vehicle parked at the home where it’s registered and they made contact with 57-year old Willie Dunn of Hopkinsville. Dunn claimed he had been on his cell phone while driving past the caller’s vehicle in a reckless manner, but an arrest citation says a search of his vehicle turned up a silver handgun.

Dunn was arrested on three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, with the report noting the woman who called ECC is seven-months pregnant.
