Two suspects charged in a robbery from January in Hopkinsville entered plea deals Wednesday morning in Christian Circuit Court.
Forty-one-year old Jessica Lancaster pled guilty to second-degree robbery and conspiracy to kidnapping in a deal that comes with eight total years in prison. The Commonwealth opposes probation and shock probation.
Meanwhile, 36-year old Benjamin Campbell of Allensville pleaded guilty to conspiracy to kidnapping and his deal includes a five year sentence. The Commonwealth also opposes probation for Campbell.
Judge John Atkins amended Campbell’s bond to allow his father to sign a $10,000 surety bond, allowing him to be released pending sentencing, which is scheduled for September 2. He would be on electronic ankle monitoring and have other restrictions, should he be released.
Hopkinsville police say the pair went to an apartment on North Main Street on the morning of January 25, restrained a 52-year old Oak Grove man and then removed him and took his money.
