Thomas falls to Morikawa in playoff at Workday Charity Open

Collin Morikawa outlasted Louisville area native Justin Thomas in a three-hole playoff to win the Workday Charity Open Sunday in Dublin, Ohio. He made a 24-foot birdie putt on the first playoff hole and parred the next two to take home his second career win in just 24 starts. He and Thomas had tied atop the leaderboard at 19-under after 72 holes.
Viktor Hovland shot 15-under to finish third, Chase Seiffert shot 14-under to finish fourth, and Gary Woodland and Ian Poulter tied at 12-under to finish tied for fifth. The Tour will remain at Muirfield Village in Dublin, Ohio this week for the Memorial Tournament where Tiger Woods is scheduled to play.
