Returning for a second year, the Cynclaire Ruby Rogers Annual Charity Softball Tournament will take place on July 25 to raise funds and awareness to help prevent suicide.
According to a letter from founder and co-director David Chase, this year’s tournament will take place at the Trigg County Sports Complex in Cadiz on July 25. The tournament, and the foundation that hosts it, were created in memory of 15-year old Cynclaire Ruby Rogers, who committed suicide in May of last year—the mission is to continue to raise awareness for suicide prevention and mental health in Cynclaire’s name and memory.
The COVID-19 pandemic has made things more difficult this year, but they intend to move forward as planned. Games will be played on two designated fields with a $150 entry fee for each team, with a max of ten teams total. In the event of inclement weather, the rain delay date is set for August 1. There will be additional fundraising events this year
