Kentucky reports 453 new COVID-19 cases Saturday, two more deaths

Kentucky reported another large number of new cases of COVID-19 Saturday.

Governor Andy Beshear said there were 453 new cases, bringing the overall total to 19,121.

At least 5,258 of those patients have recovered.

The governor also announced two deaths—a 69-year old woman and an 86-year old man from Jefferson County. Kentucky has now lost 622 people to the virus.

Governor Beshear says he’s seeing more Kentuckians complying with the face covering requirement and believes that will go a long way in slowing the spread of the virus.

About 476,000 coronavirus tests have been administered across Kentucky.
