On a hot day with the Muirfield Village Golf Club purposefully made slower to handle back-to-back tournaments, 63 players finished under par at the Workday for Charity Open. Collin Morikawa completed the first round at the top of the leaderboard with a seven-under 65, one stroke ahead of Adam Hadwin, and two strokes in front of Nick Taylor, Hideki Matsuyama, Zach Johnson, and Aaron Wise.
Louisville area native Justin Thomas is tied for seventh at four under par, Nashville native Brandt Snedeker is at even par and Campbellsville native JB Holmes is at one over par.
