The Tennessean reported Tuesday Vanderbilt has eliminated some key positions in the athletics communications department, which is being absorbed by the university. Andy Boggs, an assistant director for the department who oversaw men’s basketball and golf, was laid off after 13 years. Football and sports information director Larry Leathers accepted a buyout in June.
