A child was flown to an area hospital following an ATV accident Monday night in the White Plains area.
The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office says the 13-year old from White Plains entered Mount Carmel Road from Claude Young Road about 8 p.m. and drove into the path of a pickup driven by 24-year old Jamie Renfro of White Plains.
Renfro attempted to avoid a collision, but was unsuccessful.
The child was thrown from the ATV and had to be flown by helicopter to an area hospital.
Renfro was not injured in the crash.
