If the NFL players union has its way, the Tennessee Titans won’t be playing any preseason games in 2020. ESPN reports the NFL Players Association unanimously voted to advocate playing zero exhibition games amidst the coronavirus pandemic. The NFL chose to whittle preseason games from four to two last week, but has not made a formal announcement.
If Tennessee plays two games, they would be August 22nd against the New York Giants and August 29th at Tampa Bay. The league does not deem it essential for the union’s approval on the preseason schedule, but because of the pandemic the players could contend they have a say in the decision. Most training camps are to start July 28th.
