Kentucky added 803 cases of COVID-19 since Friday afternoon, with 268 of those reported Monday.
That brings the overall total of cases to 17,152—according to Governor Andy Beshear’s Office—which says at least 4,785 of those patients have recovered.
Kentucky has had eight more deaths, including a 72-year old man from Hopkins County. The governor says 593 Kentuckians have died from the virus during the pandemic.
Sunday’s new case total was 280 and the Saturday number was 255.
Todd County has a 41st case of the coronavirus, with public health director Jen Harris saying additional details will be released Tuesday.
While Kentucky’s numbers have been higher than they were a few weeks ago, they have been steady—mostly between 150 and 300 new cases a day.
