Hancock named CCPS student transition coordinator

The Christian County Public School System has announced that Sandra Hancock has been appointed student transition coordinator for the district.

Hancock began teaching at Hopkinsville Middle School in 1997, according to a news release, which says she was most recently an information technology instructor and college and career coach at Gateway Academy to Innovation and Technology.

As the student transition coordinator, Hancock will play a pivotal role in the district’s efforts to increase successful student transitions between school levels and into productive adult lives.  She will coordinate efforts between the schools, local businesses, and post-secondary institutions to provide better opportunities for students to graduate college and/or be career ready.
