Applications will now be accepted until the end of August for the Pandemic EBT program, which aims to keep Kentucky children healthy and fed.
According to a news release from Christian County Public Schools Spokesperson John Rittenhouse, P-EBT provides meal assistance to households with children eligible for free or reduced-price school meals while schools are closed due to COVID-19. It provides a benefit card that families can use to replace schools meals during closures.
The benefits card can be used to purchase food for the household from a local or online grocery store—applying will not affect eligibility for other public assistance programs.
