A sixth PGA Tour player has tested positive for COVID-19 as Chad Campbell revealed he had coronavirus. Campbell played in the PGA Tour’s post-hiatus opener at Colonial in Texas but missed the last two events. His test was separate from the round of pre-tournament
testing done ahead of this weekend’s Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit.
The LPGA Tour has canceled the Canadian Women’s Open due to the coronavirus pandemic. The LPGA said it was forced to call off the event scheduled for Sept. 3-6 in Vancouver because of restrictions on international travel and mandatory quarantine, along with limitations on group gatherings in the province of British Columbia. The LPGA is scheduled to resume play on July 31 in Ohio.
