A flash flood watch has been extended until 7 p.m. this evening for much of western Kentucky.
It’s for Trigg, Caldwell, Crittenden and areas to the west, extending all the way into southeast Missouri and southern Illinois.
The National Weather Service in Paducah says another one to two inches of rainfall is expected, with locally higher amounts possible.
Motorists can expect rising water in low-lying and poor drainage areas and some streams and creeks and rivers could also be on the rise in places that see extended periods of heavy rainfall.
