Christian County gained one new confirmed case of COVID-19 from Tuesday to Wednesday, putting the total since the pandemic began locally at 249.
According to the Christian County Health Department, 84 of those cases are considered ‘active’, and 161 people have recovered from the illness. Breaking the active cases down into age groups, there are 16 in the pediatric age group, 61 in the young adult to middle aged grouping, seven in the older adult category and none in the elderly age group.
Christian County has seen four COVID-19 related deaths. The Christian County Health Department continues to offer free testing at the Tie Breaker Park site, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. There will be no testing taking place this coming Friday, due to the Fourth of July holiday.
