Rain was a factor in a single-vehicle accident Tuesday morning on the Pennyrile Parkway that injured a woman and child.
The vehicle was headed north near the 17 mile-marker at about 9:30 a.m. when it began to hydroplane and flipped, ending up in the median, according to the Christian County Sheriff’s Department.
The driver and a juvenile passenger, who was reportedly ejected, were both taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center. The driver had back injuries and the juvenile had several lacerations, according to police.
Another adult in the vehicle was not hurt.
