Christian County gained another 11 confirmed cases of COVID-19 from Monday to Tuesday, putting the overall total at 248 since the pandemic began.
That’s two days in a row that the Christian County Health Department has reported 11 additional cases locally, and of those 248 cases 83 are active, 161 have recovered, and the county has had 4 COVID-19 related deaths. Breaking it down into age groups, there have be 30 cases in the pediatric age group, 170 in the young adult to middle aged grouping, 45 in the older adult category and three in the elderly age group.
Jennie Stuart Health is reporting they currently have two COVID-19 positive patients in the hospital. Currently, between CCHD and Jennie Stuart, approximately 6,649 people have been tested.
The health department asks people to continue practicing social distancing, wear a mask in public places and keep washing your hands frequently and thoroughly.
