Chamber gives awards, goes virtual for annual ceremony

The Christian County Chamber of Commerce went virtual this year for the 132nd Chamber Dinner and Awards ceremony.

The change in format was due to the need for social distancing in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, as the dinner is usually highly attended each year.  Chamber President and CEO Kelli Pendleton says 2020 has brought with it many challenges, and the Chamber is here to help the community in any way they can.

Board Chair Melissa Spur passed the gavel onto the next board chair, but not before praising the Chamber staff for all the hard work they do and the local businesses that have had to adapt.

Jennie Stuart Health Chief Financial Officer Greg Moore will be the next chair and accepted the gavel.  The winner of this year’s Bob Kelso Ambassador of the Year Award is Angie Gibbs, Dustin Gilbert was named the Young Professional of the Year and Chuck Henderson took home the President’s Award.
