An arrest has been made in connection with a body that was found floating in a container Saturday on Kentucky Lake in Trigg County.
Investigation by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Kentucky State Police and Kentucky Fish and Wildlife led to 60-year old Jeffery Rogers of Arlington, Texas being arrested in Texas.
A TBI news release says an autopsy determined the cause of death for 41-year old Traci Jones of Granbury, Texas to be homicide and investigators believe Rogers used a boat rented in Paris, Tennessee to dispose of the body in Kentucky Lake.
Rogers is currently charged with abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence and is awaiting extradition back to Tennessee from Texas. Investigation into the homicide is ongoing.
