University of Louisville athletics director Vince Tyra announced today the Cardinals season opening game with North Carolina State is moving to Wednesday, September 2nd. The season opening and ACC opener for both teams was originally scheduled for Thursday September 3rd. The game was moved from Thursday to Wednesday due to logistics with Churchill Downs, who will be hosting the Kentucky Derby on September 5th.
