Local man arrested for internet sex crimes against children

Investigation by the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crimes Branch has led to the arrest of a Christian County man for alleged online sex crimes.

KSP says the investigation began when it was discovered that 55-year old Dennis Cline of Hopkinsville was allegedly sharing images of child exploitation online.

A search warrant was executed at his home in Hopkinsville over the weekend and troopers seized equipment used to facilitate the alleged crimes.

Cline was arrested and charged with one count of promoting a minor in a sex performance, one count of prohibited use of electronic communication device to procure a minor, three counts of distribution of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance and three counts of possession of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance.

He was lodged in the Christian County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
