University of Louisville athletics director Vince Tyra did an interview with the Courier Journal on a wide range of topics. In his two and a half years on the job, Tyra has been juggling day to day duties along with an NCAA investigation into the basketball program and dealing with the pandemic. Tyra says everything has been a great challenge to his leadership skills. He added he was dealt a difficult hand but has been pretty happy with how things have been managed.
On the topic of keeping second year football coach Scott Satterfield, Tyra said they are going to do everything they can to keep him in Louisville for a long time, adding Satterfield is a great fit for the school and the community.
