Hopkinsville police arrested a local man for burglary and violation of an emergency protective order early Wednesday morning.
ECC received a 911 call from a woman at a home in the 400 block of South Jessup Avenue and she only said “send police.”
Officers arrived to find 28-year old Karl Bailey of Hopkinsville in the area and an arrest citation says his t-shirt had been stretched and he had scratch marks around his neck and mouth.
A computer check showed his ex-girlfriend had taken out an EPO against him. The victim told police Bailey entered her home while she was in the shower and assaulted her, including biting her hand. She said she would take herself to Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
Bailey was arrested for first-degree burglary and violation of an EPO.
