Two injured in rear end collision Monday

Two people were injured Monday afternoon in a rear-end collision on Walnut Street.

It happened about 4:15 p.m., according to the report from Hopkinsville police, which says 36-year old Timothy Gibbs of Hopkinsville was northbound and slowing with traffic when he said his foot slipped off the brake and caused him to rear-end a car operated by 58-year old You Bussell of Hopkinsville.

Bussell and his passenger, 52-year old Michael Bussell of Hopkinsville, were both taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.

Gibbs was not hurt in the crash.
