The Southeastern Conference announced each schools nominees for the Roy Kramer Male and Female Student Athletes of the Year today. University of Kentucky volleyball player Leah Edmond is the school’s Female nominee while basketball player Immanuel Quickley is the Male nominee. The winners will be announced on Wednesday.

NFL

Reports say former University of Louisville and Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is fine after tumbling over a jet ski over the weekend in a video posted on social media. The NFL MVP is shown running with a football on the beach before colliding with a parked jet ski and falling headfirst into the water. The 23-year-old was not injured.

Multiple reports indicate a small number of Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans players have tested positive for Covid-19. NFL Network reports Dallas Pro Bowl running back Ezekiel Elliott tested positive but is feeling good. It’s not clear how the players contracted the virus.

PGA Tour

Golf Channel reports Jon Rahm and Webb Simpson have both committed to play in next week’s Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, CT. Eight of the top nine ranked golfers in the world will play in the event, with 8th ranked Adam Scott sitting out the event.
