Three people were injured in a shooting early Sunday morning in the 1600 block of McKee Street.
Hopkinsville Police Lt. Seth Meek says officers in the area heard gunfire and arrived on scene to find multiple people firing guns. Several people fled the scene on foot and two victims were located—one shot in the shoulder and one with a head injury. They were both transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment.
A third patient arrived by private vehicle at Jennie Stuart with multiple gunshot wounds and that person was later transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Lt. Meek says there were at least 200 people at the gathering and officers recovered five guns that had been tossed and at least 75 shell casings.
No arrests have been made and anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 270-887-TIPS.
