Kentucky has 315 new COVID-19 cases

There were over 300 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported Saturday in Kentucky.

That’s according to a news release from the office of Governor Andy Beshear, which says the 315 new cases brings the overall total of cases to 12,445. Another two Kentuckians have died, making that total 499 since the pandemic began.

At least 3,409 patients have recovered from the virus.

The governor also noted the successful removal of the statue of Jefferson Davis from the Capitol rotunda following a vote Friday by Historic Properties Advisory Committee to relocate the statue to the state historic site at his birthplace in Fairview.
