MLB players reject again latest offer by owners to start 2020 season

Major League Baseball’s Players Association has rejected a proposal from the owners for a 76-game regular season that would guarantee 50 percent of players’ prorated salaries, according to The Athletic. The league’s latest offer also called for an expansion of the playoffs and would allow the players to recoup up to 75 percent of their prorated salaries, though the union has remained steadfast in maintaining a previous agreement that would pay the players a full prorated rate.
