The Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library is officially open for business once again, though it will be with some restrictions in place for the time being.
Executive Director Deanna Sova appeared on WHOP Tuesday and says the library officially reopened Monday and people were just as eager to get back in as she was to let them in.
She says that for now, the second floor is off limits and some services aren’t available, but they continue to offer books, DVDs, and more for check out.
Sova says all late fees are waived for the month of June, so there’s no pressure on returning overdue books.
Only 50 patrons can be inside the building at one time, but Sova says they did not run into that problem on Monday and no one had to wait in any lines. The pandemic hours of operations will be, Monday through Friday: 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. until further notice.
