The University of Tennessee is mourning the death of former player and head coach Johnny Majors, who died Tuesday night at age 85. A memorial service at St. John’s Cathedral in Knoxville will be held for the Lynchburg native at a yet to be determined date. Majors led UT to three SEC championships with his greatest success as a coach coming when he led the Pitt Panthers to the 1975 national title.
