Field set for Todd County non-partisan elections

The non-partisan filing deadline passed with full fields for all of Todd County’s city councils and commissions.

All six Elkton City Council incumbents—Danny Laster, Michael Case, Frank McReynolds, George Orr, David Powell and Doug Gibson—filed for reelection and they’re joined on the ballot by challenger John Mullins.

Trenton’s four incumbent commissioners—Wayne Johnson, Joyce Edwards, Chuck Sadler and Cara Anderson—all filed for another term.

Guthrie has the largest field with incumbents Mary Charles King, Norma Williams, Katie Covington, Chad Johnson, Harry Green and Pam Covington challenged by Doreen Lynch, Zollie Rose, Jennifer Wood, Michael Smith, Kathy Freyer and Kelly Crafton.

District 2 and 4 school board members Eric Harris and Joshua Mosby have filed for re-election and are unopposed.

There are three candidates on the ballot for Soil and Water Commission—Brad Brookshire, Nicholas Hurt and Garrett Sharp.
