Pennyrile Electric, TVA give $40k to local causes during pandemic

Pennyrile Electric is partnering with Tennessee Valley Authority to award $40,000 to help the local community during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Funding from Pennyrile Electric and other resources was matched by TVA’s COVID-19 Community Care Fund, which helps local power companies meet immediate needs in their communities by providing matching funds for local initiatives addressing hardships created by this pandemic.

Funds received by Lyon County Baptist Association, Logan County Good Samaritan, Helping Hands of Trigg County, Aaron McNeil House and Todd County Interfaith Center will be used for qualifying Pennyrile Electric members who need assistance with their utility bills.
