Oak Grove Racing, Gaming and Hotel could open as soon as early September and the process to hire about 350 employees is gearing up.
General Manager Darold Londo appeared Thursday morning on WHOP and noted the facility on Thompsonville Lane near Fort Campbell Boulevard is much more than harness racing—as it features historic racing machines, a hotel and cuisine options.
There will be a hiring event Tuesday that’s by invite only due to the pandemic, but you can put yourself in the running for an invite by applying online at oakgrovegaming.com.
Londo says they’re hiring for all types of positions you’d expect to be associated with such a facility and they’re starting with management and supervisor roles.
Oak Grove Racing, Gaming and Hotel is $200 million investment by Churchill Downs, Incorporated. Londo says the early September opening date is subject to change and he’d like to see things ramp up by late August.
