The Courier Journal reports University of Louisville head coach Dan McDonald is in support of a proposal to change the start date of the college season. A proposal called the “New Baseball Model” is being touted by Michigan coach Erik Bakich. It contends pushing the season back by several weeks would result in larger crowds, lower travel expenses and fewer missed classes, among other advantages. The current college season starts in mid-February.
