Gov. Beshear announces no new COVID-19 deaths, 146 new cases

Governor Andy Beshear reported no new COVD-19 related deaths in the Commonwealth Saturday, and 148 new cases from Friday to Saturday.

The Governor took Saturday off from his daily live updates, but a news release states there were no new deaths, meaning the overall total remains at 391. The 148 new cases raises that total to 8,571 with approximately 3,100 individuals having recovered from the virus.

Governor Beshear says, “I am urging Kentuckians to please be safe this weekend. As we recover, we are depending on Kentuckians to take the steps necessary to protect one another this weekend and every day and weekend moving forward.” Kentuckians are reminded to keep up social distancing practices and keep often and thoroughly washing their hands.

The Tennessee Department of Health is reporting 19,789 cases of COVID-19 in that state, and 329 deaths. Montgomery County gained 16 cases to 234, Robertson County saw 25 new cases to 360 and Stewart County remains at eight cases.
