Todd County has gained an additional case of COVID-19, which brings that total since the pandemic began up to 18.
That’s according to the Todd County Health Department, which reports that the healthy individual who tested positive for the virus is currently not displaying symptoms and has been instructed to self-isolate. The patient, who is an out of county worker, is believed to have contracted the virus at work.
Public Health Director Jen Harris says, “As we enter into the summer months, it is very possible for this virus to hang around. Just because things are reopening does not mean you must get out in public. You are in control of where you go and your own health. If you do not feel comfortable going in public, then you should stay home.”
Of those 18 confirmed cases, 15 people have recovered from the illness and five are considered ‘active’.
