Furman University is eliminating its baseball program due to the Covid-19 pandemic. WYFF-TV in Greenville, SC reports the school has played baseball since 1896 with the exception of five years. The school also announced Monday it’s eliminating the men’s lacrosse program and is having its president, athletic director, football and men’s basketball coach and other highly compensated personnel to take salary reductions.
