The good news continues in Hopkins County, as Judge Executive Jack Whitfield and Madisonville Mayor Kevin Cotton announced no new cases or deaths there.
The COVID-19 numbers remained the same as Friday’s totals, with 216 total confirmed cases, 27 deaths and 140 individuals recovered from the coronavirus. Mayor Cotton says to keep the families of those who have passed in your prayers, as it’s always difficult to lose a loved one, now even more so.
Judge-Executive Whitfield says they’re very glad to see those numbers flattening out, but he reminded that those numbers do not mean the virus is completely gone.
More of the economy will be opening up across the state this week, and Mayor Cotton encouraged to go online to healthyatwork.ky.gov to stay informed.
