Construction to continue on U.S. 41-A in Madisonville

Motorists traveling on U.S. 41-A in Madisonville can expect delays due to traffic control caused by construction for the remainder of the summer.

According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, starting on Monday there will be personnel on U.S. 41-A using flags to direct traffic flow every day through most of the summer. The contractor will begin removing the existing asphalt shoulder and constructing the sub-grade for the new portion of the roadway.

Motorists are strongly encouraged to seek alternate routes during this time when possible.
