Third day of no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Christian Co.

The Christian County Health Department is reporting a third consecutive day of no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Christian County.

According to the Friday update, Christian County still sits at 97 confirmed cases of coronavirus, with 14 of those cases considered ‘active’ and with 80 individuals having recovered from the virus.  Christian County has seen three COVID-19 related deaths.

Breaking those active cases down into age categories, there is one in the pediatric age group, six in the young adult to middle aged adult group, seven in the older adult category and none in the elderly age group.  Those numbers are unchanged from Wednesdays and Thursdays numbers.

The health department will also begin doing their press conferences only once a week, instead of two.  The press conference will be at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, and can be heard by tuning into Lite Rock 98.7 FM or WHOP News Radio at 95.3 FM and 1230 AM.

Officials urge people to continue their social distancing practices and keep up good and frequent hand washing practices.
